FAQs
The Great Barn can accommodate wedding receptions, parties and functions from as few as 60 people, up to a maximum of 200 guests. We can accommodate up to 300 people in a theatre style layout for corporate events and ceremonies/blessings. Our events team will work with you to produce an exclusive table plan for your event.
The Great Barn is an approved civil ceremony location, licensed for both civil weddings and civil partnerships. You must give a notice of marriage via your local registry office at least 15 days before your ceremony. Please note, once you’ve reserved a date at The Great Barn, it is your responsibility to book the registrar. You can find further details on the Harrow Council website.
We do allow candles as long as there is no open flame and the candle sits within a suitable holder. Due to the height of the barn we do not allow helium balloons. However, many suppliers can provide balloon displays that do not require helium. We are happy for your guests to use confetti but ask that it is fully biodegradable. Unfortunately, fireworks are not permitted on the site.
Most venues will assign an Event Manager to each event. This person will be separate from any private wedding planner you use, and will be in charge of venue-related tasks on the day. Knowing who’s responsible early on can help things go smoothly as you’ll have opportunities to ask questions and iron out issues in advance.
Absolutely! Our imagery is usually limited to what we have been commissioned to do by our previous clients. We love a change and a challenge. Throw some unique ideas our way and let’s brainstorm some ideas. We have our very own workshop and creative team for those lavish stage and set designs.
