Lighting is often used to create ambiance and enhance the overall experience, whether it’s architectural; to uplight beautiful building features, or setting the mood within the venue; through reflecting brand colours or colour themes.

Uplights are fixtures designed to cast light upwards. Uplights are commonly used to wash a wall with a desired colour of light. These are a great cost-effective way to provide a desired ambience or theme to an event space.

A gobo is an object placed inside or in front of a light source to control the shape of the emitted light and its shadow. These are especially popular for bespoke an event, for example, a company may want to project their logo on the walls of the venue.

DMX is a standard for digital communication networks that are commonly used to control stage lighting and effects. All of our lights have the ability to be able to be controlled from a lighting desk to create scenes and entire shows.

Moving head or intelligent lighting fixture refers to stage lighting that has automated or mechanical abilities beyond those of traditional, stationary illumination. These lights are generally categorised into spot/profile, wash, beam or hybrid. Each type has its uses and a combination is generally prefered by most lighting designers.

There are many factors to consider with lighting which hugely depends on the type of event or show e.g., the types of fixtures and design of the lighting for a concert would differ from the requirements for a fashion show or theatre production.
